Windows Vista No sound problem :/ Help please!
« on: 29 April, 2011, 21:44:12 pm »
Alright, I got absolutely no solution for this whatsoever, looked everywhere. None Works.

Motherboard: M4A785TD-V EVO

Headset: Koss SB/45

Problem:

No sound at all. So basically I've looked everywhere, checked for bulging capacitors (none) to removing and installing drivers and shit.

Some pictures to help you understand:

No speakers are muted. I am 100% sure of that.

If you got any ideas how to fix this, let me know.

Any answer is better than no answer. Thanks.

Nope, I built this computer myself a year or two back and installed Vista on it, everything's been working fine until yesterday.

Download an ubuntu live CD and see if you get any sound coming out of your computer then it's a windows problem, if not I assume it's a hardware problem

I tried that, failed though. First ran it through USB, lagged like shit, screen flashed black and ubuntu desktop and shit. I tried the second USB port in the back of my computer. This time Ubuntu wouldn't launch at all, just freeze after the loading screen. During that time, I didn't hear any sounds whatsoever. I'll just fucking get a new motherboard... I'll go to a dumpster and look for a computer that I could get one off.

Oo yer if you want to test linux might want to disable dual graphics cards since it uses very limited drivers on the live disks but ye that would be a good solution for now I guess :)
