I started using hammer :D

Thats right, I would give a try using hammer editor making a tf2 map.
Maptype: cp

Skybox:
No

Map name:
Flankright

Idea:
2 spawns, a corridor looks like 2 spirals dancing around eachother and in the middle the CP, there is gonna be some oneway ramps for sneaky classes to take out any enemy

Picture:

I know its small, but you would now know how it would look like as an example

Far too engineer focused IMO, single tunnels don't work well in TF2.

Actually I started a map... a loooOOOOOOOOooonngggg time ago. still have it though. 'Sector build' Was concept, made the basic area but lighting ect where a big problem for me.

It died rather fast though.

Seems nice but is it going to be that basic? Could put moving parts ect in there. But it's a first for you so whatever.
I'd beta test for you if you want :3

EDIT: I agree with dot, engineer camping would be prized on that map.

You'd need to to make a good place for a demoman to hide. So he can wipe out the masses of sentries that will be built.

and a sniper can at least get him, we need to think of fairness and evenness :3

snipers has the corridor for sniping, the map is mostly for snipers and spies, and for alfie's idea, i be making some barricades for placing the stickies on them, as long sleeves would be more online the map would be finished faster

ill BETA it. lol i still need a server for my maps BETA'ing. any1 interested? lol its almost done i just need to texture all of the stuff nicer.

I live in the US and the time zones are different. right now its 1:34 PM here.  , i see your on now.. i get home in about 1 hr... (im on school comp) ((im a rebel)) anyways so yea will u still be on in 1 hour?

clock is 8PM here, we got 2 hours before i am heading straight into the bed, however, i am making the server friday when i am home after 20 minutes running and 40 minutes bicycling

you say engineer's sentry would dominate in the map? ill be adding an nobuild trigger around in the corridor and only in the CP you can build

If I can learn how to use hammer and get it working with gmod, I'm going to make a stranded map featuring an island shaped like an ice-cream cone and call it "gms_justdesserts". :laugh:

I'll even put a big-arse tree that won't die at the top and make it look like a 99 flake!!  xd xd xd
