Since nobody else will explain...SecuROM is a .exe that is included with Spore that, when installed, takes partial control of the computer the game is installed on.It hogs processing power to send private info back to EA.SecuROM is also known to short out CD \ DVD burners.However, this is not mentioned in the EULA nor on the box, which makes it a form of spyware or malware.
