Electronic Arts Discussion
« on: 17 April, 2009, 00:28:21 am »
Since some people want to discuss them...

Anyways..Why I hate EA..

-Games that Require Punkbuster do not come with it..they make you wait till you get kicked off a Server to tell you ..you need it.

-They make drastic changes to games that were great in the beginning. ( SPORE )

-Kept Will Wright On a Tight Leash.

Why I like EA

-They have Maxis (Thought Will wright left...though they still have control over any games he makes)

-I love Burnout

You guys HATE EA by things that dont really matters, i mean, when you are in the game, theres no shit there. Maybe shit during installation and punkbuster and such, but if you play BF you know you need punkbuster. Yes, i also hate the punkbuster shit and it doesent seem they make anything against it. But meh, just a few minutes of your life :D

I have an 11:28 EA to other publisher ratio of games on disc on my desk. 11 games by EA is still a lot. The rest is made up by 2K, Blizzard, capcom, valve, ID, Lucasarts, Interplay and stardock. Oh and Sega, nadeo, bioware, firefly, deep silver, microsoft, infinity ward, treyarch, sierra and JoWood.

This includes:Steam engine 1, Shunter, Auto Train, Steam engine 2, next: Electric commuter!

Few minutes?... People have had to download something illegal to get a legal version of the game to work. SECUROM isn't doing it's job is it? SECUROM is to STOP pirating! Not encourage it!

The only EA games I have are Sim City, BF2 and BF2142. The rest is either Steam, Infinity Ward/Activision or Rockstar. I don't have any EA games installed, mainly because of the BF patches, as for Sim City, I haven't had any motive to play it, even though it is a good game, well a good game up to Sim City 4, after that it became EA's classic game, poorly made and poorly executed.

Sim City 4 is a great game. Sim City Societies is a joke. (It's okay..but it's a joke)

The games I play are mostly from Steam Store.

I'm not saying EA is horrible. Because most EA games are awesome.

Just EA likes to make stupid mistakes.

What EA needs to do with punkbuster is to remove it and make their own anticheating or during installation they ask if you want to install Punkbuster.

Also... I know EA doesn't CREATE games but they have a big influence on the company that is.

Or EA should allow Steam to buy them out, now that's a better solution.

VAC in EA games.
Well made games. :hurrrr:

UPDATES! That aren't massive.

The EA published games should be published by Valve. Cos they know HOW TO TREAT GAMERS

EA Screwed over Valve didn't they, Valve hate EA now hence the PS3 version of the orange box is not supported by Valve anymore.

Well, Donkie you say punkbuster works but it doesn't really. It requires to be ran in some special way on Vista/windows 7 and it never ever properly works. Also why does an anti cheat system need to ALWAYS be running the background!?

I like some EA games, but this SECUROM stuff just makes me want to pirate games instead of buying them because then you're computer isn't infected by this EA virus.

Actually it's quite the opposite, VALVe love EA *sigh*. They gave EA the privilege to publish the PS3 OB, hence why it's not terribly good.
