Font changed.

Okay heres the deal, i have already talked with thingshappen about this but no success.

For some weeks ago, my brother decided to download L4D from piratebay, i said no as i would buy it in a couple of days but he dident listen. Now he uninstalled it and every font in steam have changed. For example, i cant read what it says in my garrysmod console, every font is pure fucked up in steam. I have looked at steam support and nothing shows up.
So i wonder if any of you guys know a solution.

Your considering a fucking reformat? If you then god help you people who think thats the only way out of any problem. EVERYONE seems its the only way out of problems...

If your just reinstalling steam thats different, but a reformat for something so small? Dude!?

System Restore? I have auto set points on, dunno if it default.

And try deleting everything in your Steam folder apart from /steamapps/ and steam.exe

Well, thats not a small thing. I use steam every day and its on the limit i can see what names my friends got, i cant read my garrysmod console, scoreboard fucked up, netgraph fucked up. EVERYTHING in steam.

It'll have changed all the fonts local to the game.

You could try find the font that the console and steam use, it'll be inside the Steam folder somewhere, if not try these other ideas below:

You could first try deleting all the game folders in "Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<username>", then launching a game again making it read it from the GCF, thus refreshing all the content, fonts and stuff.

If that doesn't work, back up all the GCF, NCF, etc files in  "Program Files\Steam\steamapps". Do not back up any of the folders in there however, uninstall steam, delete all remaining folders and files in  "Program Files\Steam", reinstall steam, put all the GCF's and stuff back where they should be, run a game, it should install it from the GCF.

If you're on Vista/7 just put the disk in and do a system repair. They spent a lot of time and effort into making system repairs easy in vista and especially 7.
