Release: My Windows Vista / Windows 7 Desktop Clock Gadget
« on: 15 January, 2010, 21:31:37 pm »
Desktop Time / Date Gadget

I used to use rainmaker and have a clock like this one, however one day I thought why am I doing this when I already have windows sidebar running. So thats how the project started, heres hows it ended:

It uses your default System Timezone for time, so should display the correct time / date where ever you are.

It also has an automatic update notification system. (You have to go into options to view this so it doesn't pop up when you don't care about it.)

How to install:
Download the following file: Download Link

Load up the file when it downloads, then when the pop up appears, click "Install".
The gadget should now appear on your screen or on your desktop.

If nothing appear, or its invisible the chances are you do not have the RockWell font. Download it from here: RockWell Font

If you right click the gadget and set the opacity to 60%, it looks much nicer.

Requirements
You must have Microsoft Office 2003 or later.
OR you must have, I think Adobe photoshop
Thats for the font. You can download it if you want it anyway.

Hope you enjoy this :)

You need the RockWell font, I'll get a link for it and put it in the main post.

Fixed the fail link :) Whoops

Also updated it to fix the 12:** AM bug when it should be 12:** PM

Next update will add 24Hour time as an option.

If you go into options it'll tell you to update

Hi,

I registered on this forum with the express purpose of saying thanks. That is a really nicely laid out desktop clock.

Thanks.

Download the following file: Download Link

I've been using this desktop clock for a few years now and really like it a lot, but over the weekend an "Update Available" message showed up.  When I clicked on the "Click here to install the update" link I was taken to adamncasey.co.uk, but that website has been taken over by spammers or something.  Can this desktop gadget be updated?  Or if not, is there a way to hide the "Update Available" text?

I think he's still trying to renew his domain, so it might take a while for it to come back up.
